April: "Words and colors from around the world", a collaborative book of the Union of Bulgarian writers in US and Bulgarian artists abroad is expected to be published.

October: Union of Bulgarian writers in US and the world is formed with Vassi serving as one of its secretaries.
March: Vassi illustrates a poetry book of his father Kamen Vasevski.

July: "Women", a new catalogue of Vassi is printed.
June: Vassi is awarded with a Special Assistance Grant by the Illinois Arts Council.

June-October: Vassi travels to Paris, Salzburg and Vienna.
May: Vassi participates in a seminar with Fulbright-Hays Foundation about Bulgarian art and culture in Chicago.

December: "I Saw America too" a book of Kamen and Vassilen Vasevski is published in Bulgaria.
November: A catalogue of Vassi, consisting of recent artwork is released.
April: Bulgarian Artists Abroad-Chicago, an organization of Bulgarian artists living in the US is formed.

May: Bulgarian group show in Cook County Building, Chicago, as part of the Second World Convention of the Bulgarian media Abroad, held in Chicago.
